Eidos have release more screenshots and details of the forthcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld.

The game is expected before the end of the year, and is said to be ‘pure woman versus wild’. Hopefully this means human foes will not feature too much, and Lara will be left to contend with wild animals and the environment, much like she did in the rather excellent Tomb Raider: Anniversary.

The game is boasting a number of new features such as the ability to traverse concave and convex surfaces, foliage which strains and reacts to the weather and Lara’s motorbike has now been made a much more integral part of her arsenal, allowing her to travel between different parts of the same level.

Eidos and Crystal Dynamics have much still to reveal, but they are keeping their cards close to the proverbial chest for the moment. Will Lara be able to match the stunning Assassin’s Creed? We’ll bring you the news as it comes in.
