Announced: Desert Rats vs. Afrika Corps

Developer Monte Cristo has announced a new real-time strategy game matching up two legendary World War II military divisions from the North African theater, the British Desert Rats and the German Afrika Corps. Taking command of either the German Axis or British Allied forces, the player will be able to play through any of 20 campaigns, reshaping the course of this famous struggle through their play.

The game is scheduled for release before the end of this year, likely in time for the holiday season. Planned features include more than 25 unit and vehicle types for each force, advanced friendly and enemy AI’s, and LAN or online support for up to four-way multiplayer. Desert Rats vs. Afrika Corps will allow the player a wide range of control to issue orders to his forces, including the ability to instruct units to respond in certain ways to different events.
