Activision is ruling the gaming world

News by Matt Wadleigh on 29th January 2008

Activision was delighted to tell us this week that their Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is now, officially, the best selling game of 2007 with 7 million units sold. Now, the number is a bit deceptive. First off, Halo 3 sold more units on the Xbox 360 than Call of Duty 4. However, when all of the units from all of the consoles that Call of Duty 4 was released for, the numbers say that Call of Duty 4 was the best selling game of 2007. A bit of a loophole, really, but who’s complaining. We thought that Call of Duty 4 was one of the best games we played in 2007 and we’re happy to hear that it was a success. You can check out our Xbox 360 review and our PC review, if you want more information.
