Was the 2nd series announced as they were filming the 1st? That would explain the open way it was left.
Just watched the last episode, and wow. Very bad. I thought the best episode was the first one Hopefully the 2nd series is much better.
I agree, though they've not given away much on how the series is going to pan out yet. Probably hoped a more focused episode would bring in some new viewers.
Pretty good first episode. Nothing exceptional but a fun episode nonetheless. Zombies look so awesome in this show.

Interesting. Does seem like they're going to condense quite a lot of the books into series 3 though, and that does indicate how series 2 will end. As does the image here http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3383604736/tt1520211
I've been really underwhelmed by this show since episode 2 of season 1. I watch it just so I know what happens, but I don't particularly enjoy it.
I'm still enjoying the show, but the last two episodes were pretty bad. Almost nothing happened until the very end of the last one. They are in almost the exact same position as they were at the beginning of the episode before last.
*THIS POST WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THOSE THAT HAVE NOT WATCHED THIS!* LOVED the season finale. I don't like how the TV show is diverting from the novels TOO much, such as Dale's death, in the 9 novels that I've read he isn't dead yet, which I found odd. The fact that those that die come back as zombies is not in the novels, yet it's not really that crucial. Just glad Michonne is now in it and that The Governor is coming in next season. Next season is going to be so damn intense.
If you wanted 35 minutes of brainless shooting action, you got it. It wasn't well-written, nor particularly interesting, but it was probably the action-orientated finale some wanted. The ending saved it.
