So, anyone watching this? I travelled around southern Australia with Alex for a week in 2006. Almost fell off my seat when I saw him on the show!
I thought it was pretty good last night, really gutted when someone has to get fired when they only lose by such a small amount. Raleigh is awesome though.
I know it's the first show but i was amazed when the cut back to the flat and were talking about how great alex was, but he appeared to have zero personality or charisma. Even when he was talking about how glad he was to be taken into the boardroom, the enthusiasm didn't seem to fit him. Also did he say he climbed Everest?
Thought it was a pretty good start, i would have got rid of Stuart though his selling was very cringe worthy as the other guy said
No one with that name is awesome. Alex comes across as a complete twat, and doesn't seem to be able to communicate his thoughts properly. MK, he said going into the Boardroom and surviving was like climbing Everest. It was a simile. I thought it was a decent episode, if only because there is already so much dissent within the ranks, though obviously as the teams get mixed up it could change.
Bugger off. Last night's was better, though they really seem to be miss out a lot of the business aspects of the selling. We see lots of different aspects of the process but it all seems a bit distant. We see five minutes of them selling on the streets, five minutes of them preparing the food in the factory but it never feels like the audience sees enough of the actual graft and how the leaders fail. It just feels too convoluted and over-edited. In fact, you could tell that a lot of the footage was overly twisted. Shame really. Btw, Liz is sooo hot, and Sandeesh is very attractive
There's effectivly 4 groups being followed for 2 days that needs to be broken down into an hour programme so it's going to be heavily edited, but i agree i'd like to see more. Prehaps cut the 5 minutes of the intro?
Yeah, I skipped the 2-3 minute recap from last week. Obviously it's helpful for some but useless for me. I realise they have to condense the show but it just feels to rushed. The boardroom segments take about 20 minutes of the show, I'd like to see less of that. It's hard to find an efficient way of really showing everything.
I don't think I can be bothered to watch another series yet, only seems like the last series was on very recently =/ I'll probably be hooked by week 4 though. This is a proper series though isn't it, just with a different prize that sort of makes it not really the apprentice any more?
did you see dara o brien afterwards "was the juice on a shelf?" genius. so many one-liners from this year's contestants its cringe-worthy, but it still hilarious.
Back on tomorrow as well. Looking forward to see the App challenge, mainly as it's something new for the show, but also because i've seen them do something similar on the Gadget show and i always enjoy watching them.
I'm watching it. Bloody love it, I'm yet to miss an episode, it's so compulsive! Liking the look of the female PM, and Ed was truly terrible 'You're an Accountant' 'I don't fit the mould' XD
I'm watching it too, really want someone like Stuart from last year But that Ed guy was so rude, does anyone else hate it when people get fired on this show and walk out of the room without even saying "thank you"? Twat.
Not really, it's fucking alan sugar - he's a joke. The whole show is a joke also, if anything it's more interesting when they play up or be arsey.
