I've always traded things on, primarily to help fund the purchase of an upgrade, and if anything, to get some money back for it.

if you don't want to, hey fair do's, but I've always looked to sell things on that I don't use.

The stpid ones would be the ones who buy them new instead of taking one that has been thrown away :p

I was under the impression 'throw away' meant to literally throw something in the bin - to dispose of it without selling.

and anyway, you spelt stupid wrong. lol

    :D Oh crap, lol.

I was agreeing with you btw. I meant, if people did literally throw computers in the bin then it would be stupid to buy them instead of raiding skips for them :p

ah yeah I get you.. whoops.

anyhow I'm thinking of upgrading my sound card and cpu for my birthday. Couldn't believe my eyes when dawn of war ran at a snails pace solely because of the audio settings. I have to have the audio on the lowest settings otherwise the game trips balls.

Goddamn, I'm so tempted to switch our broadband. 1.15 Mbps in central London is an utter joke! I can't use iPlayer when I'm at home and Xbox Live would have no chance.

At the moment, our broadband is with Orange and it's free because my housemate got a deal. Still, Sky unlimited is only £10 a month, so thinking of offering to pay the whole lot just to get it. Had it last year at uni and their ads about having the best speeds are no B.S.

Broadband should be like electricity, you know?

I've been having troubles as well though apparently (my arse) there's a settling period of 10 days where the connection will dip and not always work.

    Help, I need somebody.

By somebody, I mean some decent speakers for a 19" flat screen TV at a decent price. I haven't the foggiest where to begin.

Your typical 5.1 Logitech speakers would do the job, non?

Soundsticks II - Harman // Kardon

Alternatively, you could try Creature by JBL (I had Creature 2 - but 3 is out now - which were great, but I do prefer my Soundsticks).

Read reviews yourself. I wouldn't be able to back it up with first hand experience, but Logitech have a pretty good rep for cheap speakers. You get what you pay for though... stump it up for the Soundsticks, and you won't regret it.

Going by the reviews, I'd just plug them into the headphone jack?

Sound very good, may well invest when I get paid on friday. Cheers mate.

Yep, you can do just that. There are a couple of other ways to hook them up but that's the easiest for sure.

The bass might seem a little underwhelming when it comes to explosions (more of a low rumble than a boom), but if you're not used to bass thumping away at you while playing games, you'll be mightily impressed regardless.

MOST importantly when it comes to speakers/sound...... they look badass. 8)

Someone recommend me a phone, I'm swaying towards a Tocco Lite or a Samsung C3300.
