When I read James's article on the subliminal homophobic messages on the cover of Super Mario Galaxy, I wanted to make a comment on it. But, as it is, the only way for me to do that would be to manually come to the boards and find a spot to post it. Maybe we could change that?

Perhaps a comments box for anyone to type stuff in (could lead to lots of trouble with inappropriate content, etc.) or, which I think is an even better idea, a link to a board here dedicated to content feedback. This would give people a place to comment on eachother's writing and would also potentially make more people want to make an account here to give their thoughts on some of the writing.

Thoughts?

P.S. Good news story, James. I thought that was hilarious. A link to the Mind Quiz thing would have been nice, though, since I didn't really know what you were referring to. Still though, that Pac-Man thing made me laugh. :)

Phil and I chatted about the comments thing briefly today; I'm not technical whiz but Phil advises me that it's ****ing hard to implement and get running properly. The forum thing would be a good idea, but we already have a feedback forum, and at the end of each article we have a "discuss this article in the forums..." link.

There is? *checks* Ah, I see, it's just not on news stories. Could it possibly be added for them? They have the potential to spark interesting discussions after all. I also think a direct link to the feedback board would be better, instead of just to the boards, so you're already where you need to be to discuss things.

I'm just thinking that maybe a separate board for discussing specifically the site's content would be better than just an "Announcements and Site Feedback" board. It seems like that board is more for announcements and discussing site features and things, maybe another board specifically for discussing articles and things would be a bit more clear? I don't know, just a thought.

It shouldn't be too hard to make a link pop up at the end of each news story. If worst comes to worst, we could always just manually insert the link.
