I have a little question; not particularly relevant, but I didn't really know where else to post.
What is Reputation, and what does it do/mean?
Moved this to its own topic.
Reputation is something built into the vBulletin forum software. I don't really know the difference between reputation and rep power. I think the higher the power, the more you can give to others or something. Your reputation increases the longer you've been here, the more you've posted and the more reputation given to you by other users.
It doesn't actually do anything though.

Just another question about reputation - I have added to a couple of folks' reputation and their 'Rep Power' has not increased any.
So what does the little scales icon do, and how does the actual 'Rep Power' increase?!
Thanks, and sorry for the ignorance :D

Don't quote me on this, but I think rep power is the level of privileges a user has, such as posting, viewing, moderating etc, looking at Phil's I'd say 10 was the highest.
Reputation is, i think, to show who the regulars etc are. if this was a huge active board then you could easily see who the regulars are, or at least that's my way of thinking. the only way I can find my rep is going to my control panel though, I can't see yours or anyone elses.
