Do you have any favourite Thunderbolt reviews, written either by you or someone else?

This is a good topic.
I've read...a lot of the reviews on this site. I wouldn't say all, but a lot of most of them. They kind of all blur together in my head. I'm going to think about this for a while and see what I remember as particularly striking.

Your gba zelda review. It still makes me angry to this day :P .. did you even play the multiplayer?
Ha, yeah, that's probably one of our most controversial reviews!
My personal favourites are:
Perfect Ace (chttp://www.thunderboltgames.com/reviews/viewreview.php?rid=268)
Big Rigs (http://www.thunderboltgames.com/reviews/viewreview.php?rid=381)
Rome: Total War (http://www.thunderboltgames.com/reviews/viewreview.php?rid=522)

Having thought about it:
Josh's Knights of the Old Republic review
Chris' UNLIMITED Saga review
Justin's Zone of the Enders 2 review
Anthony's Half-Life 2 review
My favorite review that I've written is probably my SWAT 4 review. For some reason, I really liked that one.

Jim's NBA Street 2 review springs to mind
I've not read many so far but Big Rigs was a pretty good review. I've seen videos of it and it's spot on, a terrile terrible looking game and it's a good job I've not had the misfortune to play it. The lorries just keep on going, THROUGH MOUNTAINS! :O
I've just re-read my Amplitude review and I'd say that it's definitely one of my favourites now: http://www.thunderboltgames.com/reviews/viewreview/309

I have not read many reviews on here yet, but I have to say the Ninja Gaiden Xbox review by Josh is pretty damn slick. I like the layout and it has a particularly good intro.
EDIT - also, I've just read your Amplitude review, Phil. Really nice piece that, definitely one of the better reviews I've read. I have often thought about buying this game (despite the fact it's damn hard to get hold of), but I don't have a lot of patience for fast-paced games like this, and I also bought Guitar Hero last year which I got tired of after a couple of hours [nice waste of £40].

Whoever reviewed the original Metal Gear Solid. It makes me angry and laugh at the same time. XD whoever wrote it did NOT appreciate its politics.

Phil, I've just noticed that on the reviews list it now says what format each review is for. Well done mate; I was actually going to say that doing this would be a good idea.
It's now much easier to follow and find what you need.
Yeah, I added that a couple of days ago :)

I've got a bit of spare time at the moment so I've been reading over quite a few reviews. There's some great stuff on here, and there's a lot I don't agree with, but either way well done everyone for a genuinely superb collection of work

Yeah, I flicked through Josh Kramer's 2 Halos. Marvellous pieces they are. Too bad he ain't here anymore.

I think Josh is still around, just with travelling to and from Japan it's a bit hectic. I see Jim on Xbox Live now and again too, he needs to come back and start reviewing again, I loved his nostalgia :D

I'm just reading Josh's Halo 2 review now, and it's a very good piece even though I don't agree with a lot of it.
I'd probably score it - bearing in mind for the single-player only - about 7/10. Maybe even six if I was having a bad day.

Halo 2 gets a solid 10 for online play. I've owned the game since release day, and I'm still not past the second level on single player; i headed straight for the online play.
according to Bungie's website, there are around 500,000 people still playing, which is quite incredible.

Y'know, I've just been reading your 187: Ride or Die review Phil, and the picture captions in that really make me laugh ;)

Jim loved doing the captions, infact I think it was him that started doing them
