It's obviously Star Wars.

Goodfellas is best!!! Star wars is stupid!!!
I saw Fight Club last night. That was pretty impressive.
did i say star wars? How can you not think it's the best film ever?
well, i guess that's why it topped that poll on C4 recently.
But i think all the people that love star wars are my age (late 20s) and that's why it's top of the pops.
One of my others is a jap zombie rock movie called Wild Zero - very hard to find in the UK - i got the jap DVD.
matrix is in the top ten though, but behind dawn of the dead :)
The Matrix just rules......The Matrix: Reloaded and The Matrix: Revolutions are going to be even better 8)
I've also liked:
Shawshank Redemption
Vanilla Sky
Minority Report
Saving Private Ryan
Band Of Brothers (not really a film, a series)
to be totally truthful, i'm a huge jay and silent bob fan, so mallrats jumps right up to the top couple of slots, as does jay and silent bob strike back, which i thought was brilliant. I only thought of it coz Jason Lee was the lead character in mallrats and he was also Tom's mate in vanilla sky.
then again, i always had a soft spot for evil dead II
Jason's also gonna be taking over the Fletch role soon enough...

I think so far my favorite of right now is the matrix. However there are some great movies coming up like the matrix reload and terminator 3 so that could change.
My top 3 of all time are
1. The Fifth Element (just such a stylish and classy sci-fi)
2. The Crow
3. Blade (not Blade II)
Beetlejuice was a favourite for a long time too so I would probably put that joint 3rd with Blade
The Matrix is up there, but i would have to say that it would qualify as part of my top 5 list
The original Blade is definitely one of the coolest films around.
The Matrix: Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions will rock though...have you seen the trailers? 8)
Philip, If you liked The Shawshank Redemption, a film that has a similar style and I think you'll like is The Green Mile, with Tom Hanks and Clive Duncan Smith

I havent seen the trailers yet, and hopefully I wont too, I much prefer to know little about a movie as possible before watching and feel the trailers these days almost always give too much away in them. The only thing I want to know about a film is "Do I want to see it?"
You do know both those movies are due out this year May/November
yeah, May 15th and November TBC
star wars - it's gotta be.
Apart from that, i'm particularly fond of Mallrats...

i ain't either who is in it.
The Usual Suspects?
yeah it has to be in the top 20 or so movies ever, mainly coz of the scene with the police line up. If you've not seen this i recommend you rent it...

Thank you Jim
Kevin Spacey is the most well known actor in it. Most of the cast I have never seen anywhere else except Pete Postlewhaite and Gabreil Byrne.
It is an amazing film and your money will not be wasted if you buy it. But rent it definately.

I woudn't say the line up is the best scene.
In my opinion the ending is one of, if not the, best I have ever seen.
'Give my the keys you ****ing cock sucker!'
'Give ME the keys, you ****ing cock sucker, wha' the ****...'

 Agreed a clasic scene but the ending is better when they make you think it was ------- but then you find out it was -------- all along then he jumps in the car...
"And like that....... He's gone"

Look people it is obvious yous need help choosing what film is the best so i will try and guide you towards the light:
The Usual Suspects is my first because nomatter who watches it they cant guess who done it and it has an outstanding storyline. Matrix was watchable but not that great really. Shawshank redemption is another outstanding bit of work done by Stephen King same as The Shining and IT. Both scared the F*** out of me when i first watched them. Star Wars is a legend and always will be......
There you's go, see the light! :D
