It’s the world best-selling console management game and it returned to PlayStation 2 and Xbox in March. LMA Manager 2004 is complete with over 18,500 players from 778 clubs in 31 countries and this time it includes the top leagues from Argentina, Brazil and Chile.
With a more realistic 3D match section, new graphics, improved AI and interaction, LMA Manager 2004 is the most stylish and best looking football management game around. However the game is not just about its stunning visuals. With Xbox Live capabilities using the Xbox Communicator headset you can shout instructions to your team into the microphone and see your verbal commands acted on by the players on the pitch. Your team now responds immediately to the famous “dugout shouts”. Make tactical changes at any time during the match from the sidelines and with a whole range of new shouts, the response from the team is more immediate, so you can now really see your instructions being brought into match play.
With two transfer windows a season, there also plenty of action off the pitch as well. When the window opens you’ve got to know who to buy from where and for what they will bring to your team. This is where all the 2003/2004 season’s stats, attributes and hidden characteristics for each player come into play. Enhanced player and team scouting mean you can hunt down that elusive player from any of the clubs across Europe and South America. And when it comes to building your dream team - in the new Fantasy Game Mode - this information is available at a touch of a button.

Fancy moving to a new team? Take in a mid-season job change and head off for pastures new. Or if you just want to stretch your management skills check out the Expert Mode. Face a series of real challenges where it’s all about your football know-how, understanding player’s form and how to make use of advice from your scout and coach. The quick-reference “overall rating” bar for every player isn’t seen in the Expert Mode, providing a two-fold challenge. Firstly, when assessing players, closer examination of their individual attributes as well as the new form rating is needed. Secondly, when dealing in the transfer market, you will have to rely more heavily on scouting information from the new scout reporting system.
The new look interactive TV section provides an overview of the league action, with news, league tables, and the latest results all presented in a modern sports-news style. It’s worth keeping up with the news because as well as going for a mid-season job change you can even face the sack if the club’s not performing well!
So prepare to say goodbye to your spare time as LMA Manager 2004 delivers a gripping game, a must for all footie fans!
