Ubisoft unveils first Rainbow Six Vegas 2 details

Tom Clancy

Ubisoft has announced the first details for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2, which is set for a March 2008 release on PS3, PC and Xbox 360. The game picks up from where the last one left off, with players fighting to gain back control of terrorist-held Las Vegas.

The sequel will feature an upgraded multiplayer mode, including 13 new maps, two new adversarial modes, more rewards and easier access to matches using the improved matchmaking system. Co-op play will also be fully integrated with the story, so friends can jump into a single player game and assist you without changing the plot. We’re also promised smarter AI, 11 new weapons and a variety of new Vegas locales to fight in.

If the previous games are anything to go by, then Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is sure to be a big hit come March. In the meantime, check out our reviews of the original version on PC and Xbox 360.
