Street Fighter IV unveiled

You may have heard news recently about a countdown to a big Capcom announcement. After weeks of speculation, the Japanese games masters have released a teaser trailer confirming Street Fighter IV is in development for as yet unknown platform[s].

Little is known so far; the eighty-second trailer is a very stylised FMV sequence and shows Ryu and Ken fighting, culminating in front man Ryu charging a ferocious Hadoken. It’s not clear whether the game will be 2D or 3D, however most Street Fighter aficionados seem to hope the game will remain in the classic 2D format.

Other than the short trailer, little else is known about the game at the moment, and no release date has been hinted at. We will keep you posted as more news comes in.
