Spore to get simulateous PC and Mac release

To coincide with the Macworld Expo, EA has announced that Will Wright’s highly anticipated Spore will be released on PC and Mac at the same time. CNet reports that EA is working with TransGaming Technologies, a company that has developed a technology that makes it relatively easy for publishers to develop Mac or Linux versions of a game side by side with the PC versions.

Last year at Apple’s developers conference, EA said that it would be bringing some of its biggest franchises to the Mac. While they didn’t quite live up to their promise last year, it seems that with Spore, they’re willing to maintain that commitment.
