Sony loses yet another exclusive

Just a quickie, as the actress said to the bishop…

Sony has lost yet another exclusive franchise in the form of Devil May Cry 4, now due to be made for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. This in turn has opened up a new can of worms, not least for Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy, especially after the maker of the latter voiced his opinion about favouring the Microsoft console over Sony’s. There’s now fresh doubts over the exclusivity of titles such as Tekken and Kingdom Hearts, too.

On a related note, one-time Sony franchise Ace Combat is to have a title made exclusively for the Xbox 360. Whether the entire series is now tied to the Xbox is unknown, as no announcement has been made for the PS3 as of posting.
