Sony announces partnership with Quantic Dream
Sony has revealed a collaboration between their Worldwide Studios and Fahrenheit (aka Indigo Prophecy) developer Quantic Dream. There are no real details on what type of game we can expect yet, but it will be a PS3 title and Sony had this to say:
”[It is] expected to set a new benchmark in delivering emotionally compelling experiences to gamers.”
Meanwhile, David Cage – head developer at the French studio – is obviously more than happy about the partnership.
””We always believed that ‘next generation’ meant more meaningful content based on players’ emotional involvement. To us, PS3 is the only platform that can truly deliver on this promise, and Sony Worldwide Studios is both inspiring and pleasant to work with.”
It’s not known yet whether this game will be Quantic Dreams’ next title, Heavy Rain, although given the timing and that Heavy Rain is expected next year, it does seem to fit. We will keep you updated on this partnership as more news comes in.
Fahrenheit was released in 2005 to impressive critical acclaim, achieving many Game of the Year nominations – including IGN’s Best Adventure Game award. Head on over to our review for more information on it.
