Rock Band song prices revealed

Fast on the heels of Sony revealing the song prices in SingStar, the cost of downloadable tracks for upcoming game Rock Band has been revealed. According to Gamespot, tracks on the 360 version will cost between 80 and 240 points (although we’re not sure what the price difference relates to – song length, perhaps? Cover versions/origional versions?), and to get hold of three-track bundles costs 440 points.

Developer Harmonix have also specified their intentions for downloadable material in the weeks following the game’s American release on November 20th. This includes:

Original versions:
Ride the Lightening – Metallica
Can’t Stand Losing You – The Police
Little Sister – Queens of the Stone Age
Joker & the Thief – Wolfmother
I Fought the Law – The Clash
My Iron Lung – Radiohead

Cover versions:
Bang a Gong (Get It On) – T-Rex
My Sharona – The Knack
Heroes – David Bowie
War Pigs – Black Sabbath
Ever Fallen In Love – Buzzcocks
Brass in Pocket – Pretenders

The game is currently down as a release in Europe in early 2008, although an exact release date is yet to be announced.
