Rock Band release date in America of November 23rd

Electronic Arts have recently confirmed a Rock Band release date in the US of November 23rd. The PS3 and 360 versions are due to retail for $170 and will both come with the game, a microphone and a wired drum kit. The 360 version will include a wired guitar and USB hub, and the PS3 version will have a wireless guitar (although we’re not exactly sure why this is – something to do with permissions and licensing making things a little less user-friendly on Microsoft’s console).

The PlayStation 2 version won’t be released until 10th December but will retail slightly cheaper at $160. You will also be able to buy the game and peripherals separately, although it’s not entirely clear how much each instrument will cost as yet.

Believe it or not, this is not a Guitar Hero 3 screenshot

News has also come in recently that the game will not be released in Europe until the first quarter of 2008. The pricing for Euro countries has not been revealed yet, although in the UK we can probably expect £100 or upwards.

Some of the songs confirmed so far include Creep by Radiohead, Learn to Fly by the Foo Fighters, Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi, Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet and Won’t Get Fooled Again by The Who.
