Rebellion working on new Aliens versus Predator title

UK-based developer-come-publisher Rebellion is working on a new Aliens versus Predator game for the PSP, to coincide with the release of the movie sequel due late this year.

It is being published by Sierra Entertainment and looks to be a third-person action game, although little else is known about it thus far. It was unveiled recently in the Official PSP magazine.

Rebellion’s first foray with the series was with Aliens versus Predator on the Atari Jaguar back in 1994, which is widely considered to be a bit of a classic, and probably the best title on the short-lived console.

They then went on to develop a new game with the same name on PC five year later, which was very well received and arguably the best title the plucky studio has ever produced. This was then followed up a couple of years later courtesy of Monolith, developers of other PC first-person classics such as No One Lives Forever and F.E.A.R.
