Previously announced PC sequel to Far Cry headed to PS3, Xbox 360

Ubisoft announced today that their premier Montreal studio has been tasked with the responsibility of bringing the sequel to the popular PC first-person shooter Far Cry to PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers. Not much is known about the title as of late, but we imagine that players will find themselves in an expansive environment that graphically pushes each console to the limits. Hopefully they’ll manage to include a decent storyline and a balanced difficulty level in this sequel.

As always, we’ll track the progress of this title as more information becomes available, but don’t expect a release until the end of 2008 at the absolute earliest (and it’s more than likely we won’t see this until 2009). The sequel is also in development for the PC.
