New GTA IV trailer out

Rockstar have released a new Grand Theft Auto IV trailer. The two-minute video is basically a collection of cutscene clips showing protagonist Nico arriving in Liberty City and meeting a handful of colourful (and presumably dangerous) characters. There is little gameplay footage, although it gives us an impression of the sort of graphics we can expect from the finished article – which might not be as impressive as some recent games like, say, Assassin’s Creed or Bioshock, but don’t forget the GTA series has always been about gameplay over graphics. There appears to be some v-sync and frame rate issues, but the game isn’t due for release until some time before May next year so there’s still plenty of time for optimisation.

Head over to YouTube to take a look at the video yourself, and why not let us know what you think in the forum.
