Feel the Force with Jedi Academy

In development for PC and Xbox, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is Raven Software’s follow-up to its title Jedi Outcast. The sequel allows players to create their own hero, choose their own lightsaber and then follow their character’s progress from young upstart to full Jedi status, accrued knowledge proving vital because… well, because there’ll be confrontation with a new threat in the universe.

As with Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy features a combination of first-person and third-person combat, but this time around the action will focus predominantly on the latter in blistering lightsaber fights. Battles between Jedi wielding their favoured weapon are impressive affairs, the duels reminiscent of the astounding confrontations seen in Attack of the Clones, except without R2-D2 and C-3PO bumbling around in the background.
