Eurogamer Expo 2013

The dates for Eurogamer Expo 2013 have been officially announced. The event will be taking place in Earls Court, London from 26th to the 29th September.

Thunderbolt has had a presence at Eurogamer Expo for four of the five past events and we’ll be there again this year to bring honest and reliable verdicts on upcoming titles.

The show floor will be host to a number of upcoming big releases. With the Sony and Microsoft consoles on the horizon this event could be a fruitful time to show what the next-gen hardware and titles can do ahead of launch. Official word on the developers and games present will be revealed from June onwards.

The Indie Games Arcade area sets to showcase the best talent – both old and new – from the indie scene. With the strength of digital download products hitting a real high point last year, it’ll be exciting to see what’s in the pipeline and is an area we’ll be sure to explore.

In addition, there will be developer sessions aiming to “bring you face to face with the biggest developers in the world”, a retro section in association with Replay Events (whose Play Expo we attended last year), competitions, cosplay, and game related merchandise.

You can find out more over at the official website.

Fingers crossed the great curry house down the road is still there too. In the meantime, here’s some of our coverage from last year’s event by Matt Sawrey:

Rayman Legends
The Unfinished Swan

And articles from the year previous:

Dark Souls
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
