E3: Sammy Studios roundup

Here’s some quick info on all the games that Sammy Studios will be showcasing at E3.

Darkwatch: This is an impressive-looking FPS that promises to be cinematic and chockfull of horror. Look for it in the spring of 2005 on the PS2 and Xbox.

The Shield: This third-person action game is based on the popular show of the same name. You play as corrupt cop Vic Mackey and the game will try to deliver an experience akin to a ìlost episode.î We all know that most games based on TV shows or movies are bad, so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. This one is shipping Spring 2005 for the Xbox and PS2. We expect preview media for this to be available soon.

Spy Fiction: This stealth game for the Playstation 2 will hopefully be able to compete with the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Hopefully shipping this September, the US and UK version will be full of goodies that the Japanese version didnít have.

Iron Pheonix: This title is an Xbox Live exclusive and is shaping up to look like rather good fighter. Featuring 16-player free-for-alls, among various other modes, this might be another reason to get your Xbox online. Check out our last news story covering Iron Pheonix

Guilty Gear Isuka: Another sequel to the Guilty Gear series, and this one promises to raise the bar set by the last game. The best feature announced so far is the 4-player simultaneous play. You better bust out that multitap thatís been collecting dust in time for the Holiday release.
