Dreamcatcher announces a release day for Dungeon Lords
DreamCatcher Games announced today that Dungeon Lords, the world’s first Combat Role-Playing Game (RPG), will start shipping worldwide for the PC on April 20, 2005. Official single and multiplayer demos will also be available around launch. Dungeon Lords blends the depth of an epic “Fantasy RPG” with the flexibility of an FPS-style control system.
Gamers will do the traditional journeying through a land of ancient castles and dungeon lairs to engage in real-time tactical combat with traditional deadly foes. It’s not just about the battles though, as magic spells and hundreds of powerful weapons and artifacts play a huge role in the game. The game promises to come complete with a variety of sidequests, as well as options for character customization, including race, skills, and special abilities, all while supporting cooperative multiplayer for up to eight people. Sounds impressive.
One of the most important features is that Dungeon Lords is designed, written and developed by award-winning computer game author, D.W. Bradley (Wizards & Warriors and three of the legendary Wizardry titles).
